DISCLAIMER: Our worldwide SKT Order are active Christians, have a documented history, and have no connection to other 'Templar' groups. We do not endorse, promote, or associate our Templar Order with illegitimate Neo-Templar groups, and we state that many claim history, but did not actually form until after 1995. Being a past member of a legitimate Order does not make a Neo Organization legitimate. Any expelled or former members are not recognized.
Welcome to the Templar's International Federative Alliance. This website has contact information for local Templars in your area and chat forums for online discussions. The Confederation of Scottish Knights Templar headquarters is in Glasgow,
Scotland, under HSE Chef Mondial and Grand Prior General James Mcgrath.
Along with Scotland, other SKT Priories are in New Zealand, Pakistan, NATO, Australia, Germany, Yugoslavia, Belgium,
Canada, Malta, Lebanon, Brazil, the Marshall Islands, the Phillipppines,
Wales, England, USA, Macedonia and others and are affiliated with other Templar Organizations from Germany, Austria, France, and Russia.
The Knights Templar did not end in 1307. Templars fled to Scotland to meet other Templar brothers already there, and aided Robert the Bruce in his war against England, thus they did greatly assist the Scots in declaring their independence. Templarism in Scotland has remained active as is testified in documents dating from 1560, 1745, and 1962, up to the present day. The Charter that gave us our Status as an Autonomous Grand Priory, to be held in
Perpetuity, was ratified by the then head of world Templars, the late Chef Mondial HSE
Baron Anton Leuprech Rapp KGCT in Edinburgh in 1962, which was once more ratified in
Edinburgh in 1971, again in 1982, and agreed by the Organisation of the Grand
Council of Grand Priories, and other Templar Orders present in London in
1996. This said Charter was legally registered in Geneva, Switzerland and is still legally valid.
Besides our Autonomous Grand Priory Charter, we hold forever the Title; Chef
Mondial, or head of the world Knights Templar Autonomous Grand Priories.
This Charter left in Perpetuity to the Scottish Grand Priory by the late
Chef Mondial, Chev Baron Anton Lepreucht Rapp, KGCTJ in his will on his
demise registered in Switzerland in 1980.
We are focused on two principal goals: 1) to perform charitable works for
the poor, the sick, the old and the helpless and 2) to defend the persecuted
church.
We are a Christian, Non-Masonic Order of Templars. We recognize all other legitimate Knights Templar Orders, and we seek to
ally ourselves with other true Knights Templar Orders, but we hold that due
to Scotland's preeminent position within Templar history, we do not
recognize, nor admit the existence of, any Templar Order with a superior
claim to that of our own.
For worldwide contacts, please go to "World Templar contacts" page, and
search for a Priory in your own country.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Knights Templar, the medieval Christian military order accused of heresy and sexual misconduct, will soon be partly rehabilitated when the Vatican publishes trial documents it had closely guarded for 700 years.
A reproduction of the minutes of trials against the Templars, "'Processus Contra Templarios -- Papal Inquiry into the Trial of the Templars'" is a massive work and much more than a book -- with a 5,900 euros ($8,333) price tag.

The Scottish Knights Templar held a Templar world congress Edinburgh, Scotland, and toured in the Lothians, complete with a visit to Rosslyn Chapel.
Templars from as far afield as Germany and the United States attended a service at St Mary's Church in Haddington.
The Knights Templar are historically linked with Rosslyn Chapel, in Roslin, Midlothian, and both were featured in Dan Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code.
The church service, including communion for Catholics and non-Catholics, were completed by visits to historic and important religious sites across the country.
The World Congress of Templars had representatives from Germany, Bulgaria, Wales, England, USA, Bavaria, Switzerland and other countries in attendance. A visit to Temple was made by tour, originally an old Templar church, which many visited to pay respects.
During the formal dinner, The Grand Prior Generals of Germany OMCTH and SKT both spoke, attributing respects for goals and common works.
The Scottish Knights Templar claim to be the world's oldest Templar Order. Original documents from the 12th century in possession of the SKT supporting these claims were discussed at a dinner speech by the Secretary General.
Future world meetings are planned for 2007 and 2008.

Reintroducing wild wolves to the Scottish Highlands would help the local ecosystem, a study suggests but what about the safety of the other inhabitants ?

It is with hesitation that this article is penned for in bringing this very subject to the fore it invariably opens up old wounds for some, and hightens present fears and anxieties in others about the blatant and the willful abuse of the very identity we hold dear as Knights Templar.
